Guide to the Drainage Kit

  • Select the applicable drainage tube according to the surgical situation and place the guide needle and drainage tube into the surgical incision
  • guide the needle 3cm away from the surgical incision and lead it outward so as not to interfere with the healing of the surgical incision and to ensure that the wound heals without tension.
  • Cut off the drainage tube a few centimeters after the guide needle
  • fix the drainage tube and intercept the appropriate length of the drainage tube, which can be cut at an oblique angle to facilitate observation during extubation
  • Close the surgical incision layer by layer and select a suitable drainage vessel to connect with the drainage tube.
  • remove the gas from the drainage vessel through the venting hole, twist the cap of the venting hole, and tighten the drainage tube to the connection of the drainage vessel.
